This is the current list of desktop software the we (the C&IT Help Desk) support. To make the list, the software must be necessary for student or employee services or by a sizable WSU customer base (or a unit supported directly by us).

  9. Functions outside of e-mail (calendaring, PDA syncronization, etc.) are not currently supported by the C&IT Help Desk.
  10. Flip4Mac's WMV is distributed by Microsoft as an add-in to QuickTime for viewing and/or listening to non-protected Windows Media files. Some media servers in some WSU schools and colleges require the Macintosh version of Windows Media Player (download here). Contact those schools or colleges if you have further questions.
  11. This is a commercial package the university does not currently have a license for - the user will need to fund it personally or through his/her department.
  12. To see systems currently incompatible or not fully supported in Windows Vista, click here.
  13. Safari is not able to see the full text ediing toolbar in Blackboard on a Macintosh, Firefox is the recommended solution.
  14. Firefox is currently not able to use Wimba Live Classroom on an Intel-based Macintosh. Safari is the recommended solution.
  15. VirtualBox is open source and free, but fully licensed and legal versions of any guest operating systemsare the user's responsibility.
