Bulk e-mail at WSU

What is it? Method of sending e-mail to large university groups.
When is it used? Messages are usually sent before 8 a.m. or after 5 p.m.
Who can use it? For use by specially designated group AccessID e-mail accounts owned by WSU departments or managed by C&IT Customer Services.

Get a group AccessID for your department: Let C&IT Customer Services handle the mailing:
Requirements: Contents must be:
  • university-related,
  • respect the WSU Acceptable Use policy, and
  • approved by a dean or vice president.
Additional information: See the list of bulk e-mail addresses maintained by C&IT. These lists are updated weekly and may be used by WSU departments with authorization from C&IT.

The bulk e-mail lists are made up of various classifications of activated WSU AccessIDs. Messages go to all AccessIDs in the specific group. Individuals cannot opt out of receiving them.
