Users of WSU Document Management System need a software update to resolve PDF viewing issues

Summary When using WSU's Document Management System (ApplicationXtender Web Access), an error sometimes occurs in the application while viewing Adobe PDF files, and/or the files open slowly. To resolve these issues, every employee who uses this application needs a software update installed on his or her computer.
Affected services Improved viewing of scanned PDF documents (purchase orders, change orders, bids, graduate admissions files) using ApplicationXtender Web Access after installation of a software update.
What you need to do All employees who use WSU's Document Management System (ApplicationXtender Web Access) need to install, or have installed, an updated software program that will correct the issues with viewing PDF files through ApplicationXtender Web Access. 

It is important that you or your technical support person install this software update as soon as possible.

  • If you have administrator rights to your PC, you can download and install the update yourself. (see below)
  • If you do not have administrator rights to your PC, ask your technical support staff to install this update for you. (They may have done so already.) You also can contact the Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) Help Desk for assistance at (313) 577-4778 or helpdesk@wayne.edu.
How to obtain the software update The software needed to update the ApplicationXtender Web Access application is downloadable from C&IT's Website:

http://computing.wayne.edu/banner/WxClientInstaller.exe

Once downloaded, double-click the icon and the update will install automatically.

End date As soon as possible.
