Cognos Report Change #2 - FMS Reports

Summary As a result of ongoing analysis of Wayne State's administrative reports by the university's Cognos Enhancement team, the report changes described below are being implemented.
Affected
Cognos Reports 		The following 13 Financial Management System (FMS) reports in Cognos ReportNet have been consolidated into two reports (see below):
  • FMS005A_1 - OPAL Detail Transactions By Fund(Amended Detail Report)
  • FMS005A_2 - OPAL Detail Transactions By Fund(Detail - No Telephone)
  • FMS005A_3 - OPAL Detail Transactions By Fund(Detail - Select Account Code)
  • FMS005A_4 OPAL Detail Transactions by Fund w/o Org (Detail – Select Acct Codes)
  • FMS005B_1 - OPAL Detail Transactions by Orgn
  • FMS005B_2 - OPAL Detail Transactions by Orgn(No Telephone)
  • FMS005B_3 - OPAL Detail Transactions by Orgn(Detail - Select Acct Code)
  • FMS005C_1 - Detail Transactions By Fund/Orgn By Period(Amended Detail Report)
  • FMS005C_2 - Detail Transactions By Fund/Orgn By Period - Amended Detail Report(No Telephone)
  • FMS005C_3 - Detail Transactions By Fund/Orgn By Period(Detail - Select Acct Code)
  • FMS005_1 - OPAL Detail Transactions by Orgn - Amended Detail Report
  • FMS005_2 - OPAL Detail Transactions by Orgn - Detail - No Telephone
  • FMS005_3 - OPAL Detail Transactions by Orgn - Detail Select Account Code
New Consolidated
Cognos Reports		 The new FMS reports are:
  • FMS005 - Detail Transactions Activity – This report is primarily for viewing and printing.

  • FMS005 - Detail Transactions Activity Data Extract – This version of the report is formatted for easy export to Microsoft Excel.
You will find that the prompt pages for both new reports provide parameter flexibility and contain additional parameter information.
Important Dates The new FMS Reports will be available in Cognos
ReportNet on Wednesday, April 23, 2008.

*Most of the old FMS005 Reports listed above have been removed. FMS005B reports will remain until June 27, 2008 to allow report view users to transition to the new FMS005 reports.
Required Action If you created any of the following Cognos items using the 13 FMS reports listed above, you will need to re-create those Cognos items using the new report format:
  • report copies
  • report views
  • scheduled reports
