The Wayne State University Imaging & Document Management System, is now up and running. Access currently is available through the Web and the desktop client, according to the latest tests.
Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) will monitor the system closely as the day progresses and will inform you of any changes in system status.

ApplicationXtender, the program used to access the WSU Imaging & Document Management System, has experienced a fatal error and will not be available today. This means that neither the ApplicationXtender button in Banner nor the desktop client will work.
Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) continues to collect detailed information to provide to our support vendor(s) to help us resolve the problem(s). We will send a communication when we have additional information.

ApplicationXtender went down at 12:15 p.m. today and is currently performing slowly. Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) is collecting detailed information to provide to our support vendor(s) to help us diagnose the problem(s).

The Web service associated with ApplicationXtender, the program used to access the WSU Imaging & Document Management System, continues to have intermittent performance problems. This means that system users are periodically finding the system not available. These issues seem to be happening at approximately noon and 4 p.m. in the afternoon.
In an ongoing effort by Computing & Information Technology (C&IT), we continue to work closely with our support vendors (SunGard and Microsoft) to determine the cause of the problem. Last night we made several changes to system security settings that should not be noticeable to system users.

The Web service associated with ApplicationXtender, the program used to access the WSU Imaging & Document Management System, has been restored. This means that system users can now access ApplicationXtender during published hours of availability.
Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) worked closely with its support vendors (SunGard and Microsoft) and was able to resolve the problem at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday night. We believe this will solve the issue.

The Web service associated with ApplicationXtender, the program used to access the WSU Imaging & Document Management System, is currently experiencing intermittent problems. This means that system users cannot access or use ApplicationXtender.
Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) is actively investigating this high-priority problem. We will keep you up to date on the status until the problem is resolved and will do our best to minimize the impact on your business activities.
C&IT staff may have to take down the WSU Imaging & Document Management System in the next few days. If this is necessary, we will send out a notice in advance.
