Browser Hijacking
Internet Explorer security configurations (one-time process) for Macintosh
- Open up a session of Internet Explorer.
- Click Explorer —> Preferences —>.
- Under the Web Browser heading, click Security Zones.
- Click the button that reads Custom (for expert users) —> Click Settings
At this point you will see several headings. Set the following options as indicated in parenthesis
Under the ActiveX controls and plug-ins heading
- Initialize and script ActiveX controls (Disable)
- Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins (Enable)
Under the Miscellaneous heading
- Software channel permissions (High safety)
Under the Scripting heading
- Excute scriptlets (Prompt)
After you set these options, keep clicking OK until you are back to the normal view of Internet Explorer.
